by John Vorhaus
Here's a quick quiz for y'all:
What do the following phrases have in common?

I cut Elvis' artery
autistic revelry
saucy river title
cry tilt, USA! I veer
a trite, scurvy lie
I've literacy ruts
tile ye ruts, vicar
trite as cruel ivy
yes I carve a lit rut
ye cult, it arrives
it's a cruel verity
levity race is rust
a true silver city
relativity cures
Yes, that's right, they're all anagrams for the title of my book CREATIVITY RULES! And it's nothing less than a massive show of self-indulgence that I went to the bother of creating them and assembling them in the first place. But if there's any thematic throughline to CREATIVITY RULES! it's that massive shows of self-indulgence are a writer's right, responsibility and stock-in-trade.
If you'd like to know more about this notion, or if you'd like to be the sort of writer who is less fearful, more productive, and just generally more solidly at-home inside your own writing process, I commend this book to your attention. It will help you close the gap (I hope and trust) between the writer you are and the writer you want to be.
In the name of giving away to store (well, maybe not the whole store but definitely an aisle or two) I've included some excerpts from the book here. They're yours to download, print out, work from, use, abuse or misuse as you see fit. Should you see fit to purchase this fine text, you can SEND MONEY at your whim.
